ARDSLEY, NY: Northeast Regional, took place in Ardsley, NY, at the House of Sports, there was a full slate on the boys and girls divisions, with some standout performers after day one.
In the boys division, the New Jersey Bulldogs, look to be a serious contender all tournament long. The Bulldogs enjoyed healthy margins of victory in both their two wins today, and leading the charge was Cameron Whitmore who averaged 21 points per game.
6th Boro Hoops eclipsed 70 points in both victorious outings on day one, and their forward Kyle Filipowski led the way. Filipowski averaged 27.5 points per game, and hopes to bring his scoring ways to an important Saturday slate.
Finally, the Riverside Hawks were the only team in the boys field to notch 100+ points in a game as they produced 109 points in their second of two games on the day.
In the girls division, the two teams that stood out the most from the first day of competition came from Pool C and F. The Lady Rivals Futures in Pool C took care of business in both games, and was led by guard Lucy Palmer, who averaged 16.5 in the two-game slate.
In Pool F, the Millbank Lady Flyers showed guts and determination sealing the deal in the waning moments of both games, as they won by a single point in each of their two wins.
