U.S. Regionals Tip Off in Iowa, Friday

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA: Teams across ten states will descend upon Iowa West Field House in Council Bluffs, Iowa this weekend to earn a bid for the Jr. NBA Global Championship in Orlando, Florida this August.

The Central Boys and Girls both won the global competition last year. The boys team, Drive5 Power Elite is back this year with a completely new roster, ready to defend their title. One of the key pieces for last year’s Central Girls, S’mya Nichols, will be returning with the Missouri Phenom.  Nichols averaged 11.4 points, 5.6 rebounds (team leader), and 1.4 assists across her team’s seven games in Orlando last year.
